Source: Hillsborough County (unincorporated) and City of Tampa residential building permits; Temple Terrace and Plant City issue their own permits and are not included.
Period: permits with an application date from 2025-10-27 to 2026-10-21, all statuses.
Which permits count: residential permits whose description matches the trade keywords below (matched on the permit description: (new|install|construct)\w*\s.*\b(pool|spa)\b|\b(pool|spa)\b.*(new|install|construct)). Areas are assigned by the permit's ZIP code: Riverview = 33569, 33578, 33579; Valrico = 33594, 33596; Lithia = 33547; Apollo Beach = 33572; Brandon = 33510, 33511.
Contractor counts are distinct contractor names on those permits. A median is shown only when at least 10 permits carry a declared value, and a middle-half range only when at least 20 do. Declared values are what was written on the permit application; they are not quotes, invoices or what homeowners paid.
